Personal Support Worker Course- Provide Assistance to People

Personal support worker is a special kind of person helping the people who are unable to help themselves. PSW or personal support workers are supposed to provide assistance to those helpless people. These can provide their services to the long-term care facilities including nursing homes and retirement community and also work in private homes. These people are very much important as these are the cause of someone's happiness and appear as a solution to helpless people.

Anyone who has passed at least high school can do this job, but it is highly required to have a certificate for that. The person is required to join any certification course for getting the skills and knowledge about the post and the responsibilities. There are different types of certification deciding the type of personal support worker including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid, nursing, aide, home support attendant, etc.

Many physically demanding tasks are required to be performed by the support worker and the area of work for them is not limited to physical demands as this also includes laundering clothes, preparing and serving meal, cleaning, providing personal care including dressing and bathing. This job may cause injury sometime, but is always helpful and advantageous for helpless people so it is considered a very good and respected job.
